Headline: CBC Kingsville gears up for free Spring Fest event & FAFSA Night

Community members from Kingsville and the surrounding areas are invited to participate in Spring Fest— a fun-filled, family friendly event with entertainment for all ages. Coastal Bend College (CBC) will host Spring Fest at the Kingsville Site on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 1814 S. Brahma Blvd.

Representatives from CBC’s programs of study will be available to speak with prospective students about the educational opportunities that CBC Kingsville has to offer. The office of veterans affairs will also be on hand to speak with veterans and their dependents about utilizing veterans education benefits.

The Cougar Center, one of the newest facilities at the Kingsville Site, will have its grand opening. This one stop shop, in conjunction with the Student Success Center, will now house admissions representatives who will aid students throughout the admissions process, add/drop courses and process transcript requests.

Financial aid representatives from CBC will help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from 5-7 p.m. Prospective students who would like to participate will need to bring their 2014 completed tax return, W-2 forms and other records of income received for 2014 for themselves and for their parents if under the age of 24.

The Cuveralls, an eclectic hometown four-man band, will provide community members with live music beginning at 7 p.m. Photos captured at the event will be uploaded online after the event via Facebook. You will be able to view the photos by visiting www.facebook.com/coastalbendcollege.
