Coastal Bend College Men’s Basketball team returned from the ninth annual Mullens/Mitchell Juco Jamboree in Dallas with three wins.
The competition featured 60 junior college programs from across the country and well-over 200 NJCAA Division 1 college prospects, according to event organizers.
CBC Cougars played three games on Oct. 11. The first game pitted CBC against Arkansas Baptist College. The Cougars won by a score of 45-34. They met Clarendon College in the second game and were victorious with a score of 53-43. The last game was played at Collin County Community College against Murray State College. CBC won by a score of 51-48.
Coastal Bend College’s leading scorer for the Jamboree was Demarco Richardson. The leading rebounder was Charles Mells. Many of the players drew a lot of recruiting attention from Division I and Division II universities from across the country.
