CBC to select new board member in November

Longtime Coastal Bend College Board Member Dr. Sam Hogue recently resigned from the college board of trustees. Dr. Hogue served Coastal Bend College since 1997 when he was elected to the board. Hogue’s resignation was accepted by board members during the October meeting, prompting trustees to immediately open the search for a replacement.

The names of those interested in serving out Dr. Hogue’s term until the May election will be considered during the Nov. 17 board meeting, which starts at 5 p.m. The board will make a decision on the final board nominee during the meeting. Those to be considered for the board must be U.S. citizens and residents of Texas. They must reside in Bee County and be over the age of 18. Potential board appointees must not have ever been convicted of a felony.
