Coastal Bend College (CBC) is excited to announce that Kids College 2017 will take place at the Beeville, Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton locations from Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 23. Kids College will run from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and is open to students in the completed grades of 1-5.
The theme of this year’s Kids College is “Water is Precious”. Kids College participants will be exposed to the college environment which includes science labs, classrooms and commons areas. Each day, students will spend their mornings in a classroom setting with general instruction. The second part of the day will be spent inside of a state-of-the-art college laboratory with hands-on learning experiences.
In order to be eligible for CBC’s Kids College, prospective students must fill out an application and write a short essay as to why they would like to attend Kids College. Applications and Kids College information is available online at http://www.coastalbend.edu/kc/. This year scholarships are available thanks to the generous donations of the Joe Barnhart Foundation and the Coastal Bend Community Foundation. The completed application and essay will then need to be submitted electronically or hand delivered to:
