Anagen to rock Coastal Bend College stage

Ranked in the top 25 unsigned bands in the United States and Canada, Anagen has come out of hibernation to once again rock the foundation of the Texas music scene. They will perform at Coastal Bend College in Beeville on April 12 at 6 p.m. in the James Dougherty Student Center (SUB). The concert is part of Spring Festival 2012, a community event.

Free family festival to be held on college grounds

Coastal Bend College will host its first annual Spring Festival on April 12, 6-8 p.m. in the James Dougherty Jr. Student Center (SUB). This is a family-friendly community event. There will be free food and refreshments. Austin-based rock band, Anagen, will perform. Anagen features Beeville native Lance Kotara.

Community festival scheduled at Coastal Bend College

Coastal Bend College will host a fall festival on Oct. 26, starting at 6 p.m. This is a community event and everyone is invited. There will be a variety of outdoor activities, snacks and free inflatable games for the family to enjoy. An indoor dance party will be held to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Fund. Workshop available in Beeville for fest, event organizers

Festivals are fun but a lot of work. Learn about the nuts and bolts of developing successful festivals and events in your community from experts. Coastal Bend College and Texas Leadership Institute have teamed up to present “Developing Successful Festivals and Events” on Oct. 18, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Coastal Bend College in Beeville in the George F. Elam Building, E-116. The cost to attend the workshop is $99 and includes lunch. Pre-registration is required.
