San Antonio Symphony to perform in Beeville

The San Antonio Symphony, under the direction of Assistant Conductor Akiko Fujimoto, returns to Beeville for an exciting performance celebrating the works of Beethoven on Tuesday, Feb.21, at A. C. Jones High School Auditorium at 7:30 pm. The program also includes Grondahl’s Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra, with the solo played by Amanda Davidson.

Coastal Bend College releases art gallery, workshop schedule

Coastal Bend College’s Simon Michael Art Gallery, located in the Frank Jostes Visual Arts Building on the main campus in Beeville, will exhibit the work of a variety of artists and media.

Funny faces are focus of upcoming workshop

Lorin Bernsen, a Coastal Bend College graduate, will lead a workshop on caricatures for art students on April 6, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the Barnhart Workshop Series. It will be held at the Frank Jostes Visual Arts Building in Beeville. Bernsen will demonstrate drawing and air brushing techniques and talk about caricatures with students and guests during the daylong open entry workshop. San Antonio Symphony to perform in Beeville

The San Antonio Symphony returns to Beeville on Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. for a performance at A. C. Jones High School Marion Horton Gymnasium. The concert is sponsored by Beeville Concert Association with generous gifts from Joe Barnhart Foundation and Coastal Bend College, and partial funding by the Cathryn Berninger Estate. Admission is $10. Children, season ticket holders and students with current CBC ID get in free.

Coastal Bend earns Medallion Awards at district conference

Coastal Bend College earned a Gold Medallion Award and two Silver Medallion Awards at the NCMPR District 4 Conference held in Jackson Hole, Wyo.
