Coastal Bend College (CBC) Athletics recently hosted a showcase/evaluation camp for athletes throughout the surrounding areas. The camp provided prospective college athletes with the opportunity to showcase their skills to college/university coaches. Institutions that were represented at the camp include CBC, Wharton Junior College and Our Lady of the Lake University.

The 68 participants were led through drills and skill assessments throughout the day. As each athlete participated in the drills, they were assessed by a staff of current baseball coaches throughout the area.

CBC Baseball took advantage of the camp by offering local athletes a spot to play for the College this fall. Athletes who were offered a spot with the Cougars next fall include: Noel Vela (LHP), Christian Ramos (RHP), Jacob Guerrero (OF), William Pena (OF & C), Grayson Gough (RHP), Zach Patton (LHP), and Matt Woods (RHP).
