Coastal Bend College, in collaboration with Ranch Hand, has signed a memorandum of understanding to provide eligible welding students with a workforce experience program.
The agreement combines technical instruction with on-the-job learning in a unique “earn and learn” environment where students will earn a continuing education certificate while learning what it’s like to work in the field.
According to Braden Becknell, Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education at Coastal Bend College, “Community colleges play a critical role in workforce development because we must see workforce needs and ensure our students are highly trained and certified to meet those needs.”
To apply, please fill out the application form here.
Requirements include having a Level I Certificate in Welding from Coastal Bend College.
