Beginning August 24, Coastal Bend College will offer online professional development courses in legal studies.
18 online legal certificate courses are available for non-credit and include paralegal, advanced paralegal, legal secretary, alternative dispute resolution, victim advocacy, legal nurse consultant training, and more. Students may complete each online session and receive their respective certificate in seven or 14 weeks.
“Coastal Bend College’s continuing education program is designed for working professionals who are seeking to advance in their chosen field, acquire new skills for a work promotion, or possibly earn continuing education credit hours. The online courses are noncredit, but it is a fast track way to improve your career and earn a certificate from Coastal Bend College,” said Braden Becknell, Coastal Bend College, Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education. Experienced attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals teach all current courses through a partnership between Coastal Bend College and the Center for Legal Studies, a nationwide entity that provides online legal education to students at more than 1,000 colleges and universities.
