Coastal Bend College

The latest official news from CBC!

Coastal Bend College, in partnership with Del Mar College offers a hands-on training course for drivers interested in earning their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Throughout the CDL Training Course, students will have classroom, range, road, and remedial training. Course participants will also learn to execute relevant skills, fulfilling their training for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.

CDL training at Coastal Bend College familiarizes students with the issuing state’s CDL, driver safety, air brakes, combination vehicles, log books, trip planning, and public and employee relations requirements. Additionally, the CDL Training Course will educate students so they are prepared to take the state licensing exam and obtain a CDL with the issuing state.

After successfully completing the CDL Training Course, students will receive a certificate of completion.
