Criminal Justice at Coastal Bend College

The Associate of Arts/Associate of Science Field of Study: Criminal Justice degree program is a two-year course of study that covers the core materials needed to complete the first two years of a Texas four-year college or university’s Bachelors of Arts (BA) /Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree program with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. The AA-CJ/AS-CJ program is designed to parallel the student’s choice in a bachelor’s program at any Texas four-year college or university. Upon successfully completing the program at Coastal Bend College, the credits students earn can be then transferred as an Associate of Arts Field of Study: Criminal Justice/ Associate of Science Field of Study: Criminal Justice credential upon graduation to the Texas four-year college or university.

Program Cost & Highlights:

  • Graduates from our programs launch their careers by working for agencies such as the United States Border Patrol, local police departments and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
  • One of a few local colleges to offer an Associate of Arts/Science degree in criminal justice that transfers to a university
  • Students gain hands-on experience during tactics and training exercises conducted throughout the year.
  • In addition to tuition and fees, students also invest about $300-$500 for uniforms and course materials
  • Financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify.
