CBC Courses Offer Convenience & Value for Students

Coastal Bend College offers workforce and academic programs for people wishing to pursue their education. Workforce programs include law enforcement, dental hygiene, cosmetology, business administration, and 23 others while academic programs are the associate of art and associate of science degrees that can transfer to a four-year university.

Because some of these courses are part of the core curriculum, students can jump-start their college education before heading off to the university in the fall. In addition to earning college credit hours, students and their families can save hundreds of dollars per 3 credit hour course.

Texas A&M College Station, Corpus Christi, and Kingsville charge an average of over $970 for a 3 credit hour course. The University of Texas at Austin charges $2353. CBC in-district students pay about $260 and out-of-district students pay about $445 for a 3 credit hour course. That is a savings of over 73-percent and 46-percent per 3 credit hour course for in-district and out-of-district students, respectively.

Students who wish to enroll can register Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-6:00 pm with advisors and counselors at all of our campuses. To talk with an advisor about summer registration, please call (361) 354-2266 or toll-free at 1-866-722-2838 ext. 2266.

Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. all Coastal Bend College locations will be open to help with admissions, advising, payment plans, financial aid, and more!
