Important 2019-2020 Financial Aid Disbursement Information

IMPORTANT 2019-2020 FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENT INFORMATION

All financial aid awards posted under Student Self-Service within Cougar Den are estimated awards. Most federal and state financial aid payments made to students are based upon cumulative satisfactory academic progress and enrollment status. Students who are on suspension due to not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) will not receive a disbursement unless they have an approved appeal.

All disbursement dates are estimated; the Business Office cannot guarantee the date you will receive your funds. We recommend you have an alternate plan if there is a delay in your funding.

Students should expect to receive financial aid refunds approximately 2-3 weeks after their financial aid award has been dispersed.

Using Your Financial Aid Funds at the Bookstore

Only accepted financial aid awards in excess of tuition and fees may be used to make purchases at the Texas Book Company bookstore, which is located in the Dougherty Student Union Building (the “SUB”) in Beeville.  Aid will be available for students to use at the Bookstore beginning August 12th for textbook purchases/rentals, as well as, any necessary school supplies/kits.  Students should not use financial aid awards on items that are not essential for success in classes (i.e., gaming consoles).

 

Bookstore Pop-Up Location Dates at CBC Sites

 August 12 – 16

9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. for Buyback & Rental Returns (General Merchandise Items will be available at AL & KV for Cougar Days)

 

August 19 – 30 (Alice, Kingsville, Pleasanton)

9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. for Fall Rush (Full Pop-Up w/ Textbooks & General Merchandise)
