Coastal Bend College and Stark College and Seminary have signed a credit transfer agreement that provides students with a new pipeline to bachelor’s degree studies. The agreement between the two colleges will be announced at a press conference on the Beeville campus of Coastal Bend College on Wednesday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
Under the new partnership, all of Coastal Bend College Associate of Arts (A.A.) and Associate of Science (A.S.) degrees are now acceptable for transfer articulation to Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts program at Stark College and Seminary.
Applicants successfully completing the articulated CBC programs in the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science with a 2.5 or better grade point average who have not matriculated at any other institution of higher education will be guaranteed transfer admission to Stark College and Seminary.
“This partnership will help our graduates achieve a seamless transfer to Stark College and Seminary,” says Dr. Carry DeAtley, Interim-President Coastal Bend College. “This is an important agreement which focuses on student success. We are always pleased to build new bridges with four-year institutions as they assist our students in obtaining advanced degrees.”
“This partnership emphasizes CBC’s focus on guided pathways for our graduates and ensures a maximization of student resources (time and money). Our students, in moving on to this four-year institution, will be able to accelerate their educational journey through this new agreement” added Zachary Suarez, Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success, Coastal Bend College.
