Coastal Bend College is pleased to announce that the Dallas Police Department visited with our law enforcement students starting at 8:00 a.m. on January 29 to discuss job opportunities, their academy, and the types of jobs you can have within their department.
Dallas PD has visited with our student’s multiple times, typically at the start of the new semester so they can be the first agency our students are exposed to in order to establish a relationship and get them to apply to Dallas PD.
“The City of Dallas has a vibrant and diverse population of over 1.4 million people. In order to properly serve the Citizens of Dallas, the Dallas Police Department travels the country to find police officers who will meet the needs of our citizens. Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas has a very diverse student body and offers an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Law Enforcement,” said Senior Corporal, Dane White, Dallas PD.
“Students who pursue this degree receive college credit and “hands-on,” police-related training specific to a career in law enforcement. The professors and faculty at Coastal Bend College do a great job preparing their students for a career in law enforcement. Because of this preparation, Coastal Bend College continues to be a viable recruiting venue for recruiting candidates for the Dallas Police Department,” added White
