Five Cougar Baseball Players Selected to Play in All-Star Game

The Coastal Bend Cougar Baseball program had five  student-athletes selected to play in the Texas/New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game on September 21-22 at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas.

The five students chose consisted of Pitcher, Michael Dinsdale; Pitcher, Marco Becerril; Outfielder, Kyler Bumstead; Relief Pitcher, Mason Foster; and First Baseman/Pitcher, Ruben Sepulveda. According to Cougar Head Coach, Brian Bauerle, this is a record number of selections for the baseball program comparing to the previous selections of four players.

The All-Star Game selection process is based off the regular and post-season accomplishments and statistics.   Players are voted upon by Region XIV Head Baseball Coaches during the week of September 7th.

The All-Star Game is more than prestige for these student-athletes, as it is an opportunity to be showcased to approximately 100 Four-Year University Coaches and scouts.
