BEEVILLE – All Coastal Bend College(CBC) libraries will be observing National Banned Book this Monday through Friday, September 25-29. Activities and door prizes will be provided in conjunction with the learning of censorship of literacy
Banned Book Week commemorates the challenging of literacy and the celebration of reading. Banned books are works that may have unorthodox cultural, political, moral, or religious texts that are considered socially improper. National Banned Book Week exposes the history behind censorship and intellectual freedom by revealing titles of latest banned books and providing literacy related activities for the duration of the week.
