Coastal Bend College’s (CBC) Dental Hygiene program recently presented their student projects on public health topics. These topics included injury and violence, substance abuse, mental health, eating disorders, and oral piercings. Each of the student projects covered a specific topic and provided information on how this topic affected an individual’s oral health.
Individuals who are interested in learning more about these topics should feel free to stop by the Dental Hygiene Clinic, which is located at 3800 Charco Road. In addition, the College’s Dental Hygiene program is inviting members of the community and surrounding areas to attend a free sealant day in honor of National Children’s Health Month.
Sealant Day will take place inside of the Dental Hygiene Clinic, which is located inside of the James R. Dougherty, Jr. Dental Technology Building. Youth ages 6-17 will have the opportunity to receive free sealants and dental examinations. In addition, adults will also have access to free dental examinations by CBC’s Dental Hygiene students and faculty.
