BEEVILLE—Andrew A. Arthur was sworn in as the newest Coastal Bend College board trustee at the January 30, 2017 CBC Board Workshop.
“We are excited to have Mr. Dru Arthur as our newest CBC board member,” said Laura Fischer, CBC Board President. “His expertise in the medical field will definitely be an asset when it comes to our allied health programs. He is a lifelong Bee County citizen that understands the importance of maintaining a vibrant community college for our students and taxpayers,” added Fischer.
Mr. Arthur was raised in Beeville and graduated from A.C. Jones High School. After attending Bee County College, Arthur enrolled at Texas A&M University in College Station earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in Speech Communication. Arthur then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physician Assistance Studies. He is employed as a Physician’s Assistant at Christus Spohn Medical Clinic in Beeville. Arthur is married to Theresa Treviño Arthur and they reside in Beeville with their three children.
“I am very pleased to have the addition of Mr. Arthur on my Board. His background in knowing the community and the college first-hand brings added value to CBC. I look forward to his participation and leadership as we move to Coastal Bend College to a premier community college,” said Dr. Beatriz T. Espinoza, CBC President.
