Dual enrollment info session to be held at CBC Alice July 12

ALICE, TX—Coastal Bend College’s (CBC) Office of Dual Enrollment will host an information session for parents and prospective dual enrollment students on Tuesday, July 12 from 6 until 7 p.m. at CBC Alice located at 704 Coyote Trail. The session will take place in room 139.

CBC’s dual enrollment program offers high school students the opportunity to take a variety of academic and workforce college courses for credit, which gives them a head start on their higher education career. Many dual enrollment students graduate with a certificate or degree before they even graduate from high school.

CBC dual enrollment students have access to all the same college services and facilities as a traditional college student such as free tutoring, student events, computer labs and library privileges.

Additionally, by enrolling in dual enrollment courses in high school, students and their families can potentially save hundreds of dollars per class, and thousands per semester, when compared to tuition rates after high school at a college or university.

Information that will be covered in the information session includes: dual enrollment program overview, course availability at the high schools, CBC Alice and online, new student orientation, and a CBC staff meet and greet.

For more information, please contact the CBC Office of Dual Enrollment at (361) 354-2723.
