Coastal Bend College (CBC) Athletics is excited to announce dates for the upcoming Derrick Jackson’s Triple Threat Basketball Camps. Derrick Jackson is the head coach of CBC’s Women’s Basketball Team. He has 18 years of experience coaching basketball at the collegiate level. Each of the camps is scheduled to take place inside of the Peter S. Marecek Physical Fitness Center (gym), which is located at the CBC Beeville campus.

Athletes wishing to participate in the basketball camp must pay a $75 camp fee, which will include an official camp T-shirt and lunch. Payment for the basketball camp can be made at the CBC Business Office, which is located at 3800 Charco Road. CBC’s Business Office is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

A mandatory check-in for all participants will take place on the first day of each camp at 8:30 a.m. The four-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Each of the basketball camps will take place on the following dates:

• June 20-23 for athletes 7-12 years of age
• June 27-30 for athletes 13-17 years of age

Each of the basketball camps will feature expert instruction from CBC’s women’s basketball coaching staff. The camps will focus on skill development in the following areas: ball handling, defensive fundamentals, shooting technique, rebounding and passing. Athletes who excel throughout the four-day camp will receive an opportunity to participate in an all-star game and receive a camp award.
