Headline: First Orange Grove Dual Enrollment student graduates from CBC

Coastal Bend College (CBC) Dual Enrollment student Triston Daniel Buegeler recently graduated with an Associate of Arts at the College’s annual commencement ceremonies. He is the first Orange Grove High School (OGHS) dual enrollment student to graduate from CBC.

CBC’s Dual Enrollment Program provides eligible high school students with the opportunity to earn college credit while they are still in high school. This opportunity will jump-start their college career and shorten their time to college graduation, while also reducing their future college expenses. As a participant in the dual enrollment program, students have the opportunity to pursue transferrable college credit and/or obtain an associate’s degree or workforce certificate.

Buegeler is currently in the top 25% of his senior class with a 97.53 grade point average and has maintained a position on the academic honor roll for all four years at OGHS. His extracurricular clubs/activities at OGHS include Future Doctors of America, High School Tech Club, Student Council, Texas Ancient Free & Accepted Mason, Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, OGHS varsity football team, and OGHS band member.

Upon completion of his high school career in June, Buegeler plans to attend San Houston State University (SHSU) where he will pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Buegeler hopes to become a Texas Ranger.
