Coastal Bend College’s (CBC) softball team is hosting tryouts for the upcoming 2016-2017 softball season. CBC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) Region 14 conference. The Cougar softball team competes at the Division 1 level.

The try-out will take place at CBC Beeville’s Joe Hunter Field, which is located at 3800 Charco Road, on Sunday, May 22 at 11 a.m. Athletes who are interested in participating in the try-out must be a high school graduate or high school senior. Participants should note that they must not have signed an athletic commitment (letter of intent) to play a sport for another college and/ or university.

Participants must have the following information on the day of the try-out: a completed participant release form, a completed prospect questionnaire, a recent physical, and specialized gear (i.e. catching gear).
