Headline: $5 Tickets available for CBC Baseball conference doubleheader on May 7 versus Tyler
The Coastal Bend College (CBC) men’s baseball team is hosting conference rival Tyler Junior College (TJC) on May 5-7. The games will take place at Joe Hunter Field on:
- One 9-inning game on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m.
- Two 7-inning games on Friday, May 6 at 4 p.m.
- One 9-inning game on Saturday, May 7 at 12 p.m.
Saturday’s 9-inning game is designated as “Little League Day”. Participants who are a member of Little League in Beeville and the surrounding areas are encouraged to wear their team jersey in order to receive free admission. There’s also a meet and greet opportunity with the CBC Cougars on Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m.
The Cougars currently lead the series against Tyler Junior College, 2-1. In order to win the conference and a bye in the first round of the regional tournament, CBC must win the next four games. Tyler Junior College is currently #6 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III’s most recent poll. They previously held the #1 spot during the April 13 poll.
Tickets for the Cougars’ baseball game on Saturday, May 7 are available for $5 inside of CBC’s Business Office, which is located inside the Robert J. Beasley, Jr. Administration Building. The College’s Business Office is open for business Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
