In celebration of National Library Week, Coastal Bend College’s (CBC) libraries will join libraries from across the nation in a weeklong celebration beginning April 10-16. National Library Week is a time to highlight libraries as well as the dedicated librarians and library staff.
CBC is celebrating National Library Week by hosting various free events at the Beeville, Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton locations. Students who would like to participate in CBC’s National Library Week festivities are invited to attend the following events:
- CBC Alice: Monday, April 11 in room 129
- CBC Kingsville: Tuesday, April 12 in room 105A
- CBC Pleasanton: Wednesday, April 13 in room 130

Students at CBC Alice and CBC Kingsville will celebrate National Library Week with “Library Shelvies”. The “Library Shelvies” event will provide all current CBC students with the opportunity to take a free headshot for their portfolio from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Students who would like to participate in the “Library Shelvies” are encouraged to dress in professional attire.
The libraries at CBC Beeville and CBC Pleasanton are celebrating National Library Week by providing students and staff with a library information session from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Each of the information sessions will feature a general overview of the library as well as highlight the library services that are offered both online and in person.
