Headline: Free tax preparation services available at CBC

Coastal Bend College (CBC) is offering free tax preparation services through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Members of the community with household incomes of $60,000 or less are eligible to receive free basic tax return preparation services. Free tax preparation services are available at the Beeville, Alice and Pleasanton CBC locations until Friday, April 15.

In Beeville, tax preparation services are offered inside the Grady C. Hogue Learning Resource Center (library) inside room O-106. In Alice the services are offered in room 215 and Pleasanton in room 130.

The hours of operation for the Beeville and Pleasanton tax preparation services are as follows:

• Monday: 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
• Wednesday: 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
• Thursday: 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.
• Friday: By Appointment Only
• Saturday: 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Hours of operation for the Alice tax preparation services include:

• Monday & Wednesday: 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday & Thursday: 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.
• Friday: Closed
• Saturday: By Appointment Only
