Headline: CBC to host inaugural softball tournament Jan. 29 & 30

Coastal Bend College (CBC) will host the CBC Softball Tournament on Jan. 29 & 30. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the A. C. Jones High School Softball Field and the Cougar Softball Field, which is located inside of the Veterans Memorial Park.

Teams participating in the tournament include CBC, Midland College, Angelina College, Laredo Community College and Huston-Tillotson University. The tournament schedule is as follows:

2:00 p.m.- Angelina College vs. Laredo Community College

4:30 p.m.- CBC vs. Angelina College

Cougar Softball Field

11:30 a.m.- Laredo Community College vs. Huston-Tillotson University

2:00 p.m.- Midland College vs. Huston-Tillotson University

A $5 entrance fee will be charged at the A. C. Jones High School Softball Field for all spectators over the age of 12. CBC students and employees will be admitted to all games free of charge with a valid CBC I.D.
