It is the mission of the Women’s Shelter of South Texas to prevent and ultimately end domestic violence and sexual assault in South Texas. In 2015, the Women’s Shelter of South Texas provided free, comprehensive services to over 2,500 adult and child victims of domestic and sexual violence across a twelve-county service area in South Texas. Almost half of those served were children. The Safe Campus program of the Women’s Shelter of South Texas is committed to preventing and responding to sexual assault on campus, off campus, anytime, and anywhere.
Coastal Bend College is a comprehensive, public community college serving a diverse South Texas area. It is a student-centered institution committed to the highest integrity and to the development of an educational culture that supports creativity, encourages professional development, and promotes excellence in all areas.
