Coastal Bend College’s (CBC) Marketing and Public Relations Department brought home top honors in two categories at this year’s National Council for Marketing and Public Relations’ (NCMPR) District 4 Medallion Awards. The District 4 NCMPR region includes community colleges in Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
CBC earned Gold Medallion Awards in the postcard and brochure series categories. The postcard was mailed out in June 2015 to over 15,000 households in the cities of Beeville, Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton to promote fall 2015 registration. Each postcard was designed to highlight recent graduates from their respective CBC location, as well as showcase the programs offered.
The brochure series highlights CBC’s workforce programs by providing prospective students with easy to read information about the cost, courses, career outlook and admissions process for each program. As part of its new branding, CBC debuted over 30 new brochures to support its academic and workforce programs in early 2015.
“These two awards showcase the diverse talents of the marketing department at Coastal Bend College. We earned a Silver Medallion Award in 2014 for a social media campaign, so to receive top honors for graphic design work for our printed marketing materials in 2015 is truly an honor,” said Monica Cruz, director of marketing and public relations.
