Coastal Bend College (CBC) proudly welcomes Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend (WFSCB) to the CBC Alice site. WFSCB has recently moved into the CBC Alice site, which is located at 704 Coyote Trail.

Members of the community from Alice and the surrounding areas are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house in honor of the new WFSCB Alice Career Center on Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tours of the Alice Career Center and CBC Alice facilities will be offered to guests after the ceremony.

WFSCB staff serves clients Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the CBC Alice site. The partnership is of great benefit to both CBC students as well as members of the Alice community and surrounding areas.

CBC and WFSCB will now be able to provide a one-stop shop for job seekers and students by providing access to employment, job readiness training, job placement, and business services. Individuals will have the opportunity to utilize the services and workforce training that WFSCB provides or enroll at CBC to take college credit courses. The CBC Alice site provides students with the option of enrolling in academic, workforce, continuing education or dual enrollment courses.

WFSCB is dedicated to leading an integrated, market-driven workforce system that meets the needs of employers and workers, and helps Texans prosper. This partnership will provide residents and students with a tremendous amount of opportunities that will benefit the workforce throughout Alice and the surrounding areas. WFSCB is dedicated to meeting the needs of the community by focusing on employment, training, business services and occupations that are in-demand throughout the region.

The Alice Career Center will provide job seekers and students access to recruitment services, job search assistance, employer hiring events, training, child care financial assistance, educational initiatives, labor market intelligence and much more. In an effort to make the process of attending CBC more convenient, job seekers will have the opportunity to apply for admission to CBC, register for classes and apply for financial aid.
