Headline: CBC’s Accelerated Learning Academy announces fall 2015 course options
Coastal Bend College (CBC) is providing students with the opportunity to complete college level courses at an accelerated pace of four, six or 10 weeks. CBC’s Accelerated Learning Academy (ALA) provides students with course options that are offered during non-traditional class times such as weekends and evenings.
The ALA courses are offered at an accelerated pace with a hybrid format that includes both face-to-face as well as an online (Internet) component. Financial aid is available for students who qualify and courses are offered year round with rolling admission.
Students who are interested in enrolling in CBC’s ALA will have a variety of course offerings to choose from throughout the months of September and October including:
- Forms of Literature: Films- September start date; Internet
- Composition II- October start date; Beeville
- Integrated Reading & Writing II- October start date; Pleasanton
- Human Growth & Development- October start date; Internet
- Social Psychology- October start date; Internet
The ALA is part of the Project OASIS grant at CBC. Project OASIS is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) grant. This grant focuses on increasing the number of Hispanics and low-income students obtaining degrees in STEM fields.
