On Friday, May 8, 2015 Coastal Bend College (CBC) will host two spring commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place at the CBC Beeville Campus inside of the Peter S. Marecek Physical Fitness Center (gymnasium) located at 3800 Charco Road.

The morning commencement at 10 a.m. will include graduates in the following programs: Airframe and Power Technology, Associate of Science, Cosmetology, Dental Hygiene, Drafting and Design, Early Development and Education, Forensic Science, Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice and Oil and Gas Technology.

The afternoon commencement at 2 p.m. will include graduates in the following programs: Accounting, Associate of Arts, Automotive Technology, Computer Information Technology, Health Information Technology/Medical Records Coding, Professional Business Technology, Nursing LVN, Nursing RN, Pharmacy Technician, Radiologic Technology and Welding Technology.

Graduates from the Beeville Campus, and the Alice, Kingsville, and Pleasanton sites will participate in the annual commencement exercises. Hill Country Brass, a professional brass quintet, will provide music for the graduation processional and commencement ceremony.

Mathematics Professor Curt Villarreal will deliver the commencement address. Villarreal attended Bee County College (BCC) in the 1980’s before transferring to Texas A&I University. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics, before becoming a mathematics professor at BCC in 1993.

Students’ family and friends, as well as community members, are invited to attend CBC’s annual commencement exercises. A free dessert and refreshments reception, sponsored by the CBC Foundation, will take place in the James R. Dougherty Student Center (SUB) immediately following both ceremonies.
