Headline: CBC Alice Site to host undergraduate program showcase
Sub Headline: New state-of-the-art science labs to be unveiled
Members of the Alice community and the surrounding areas are invited to attend the Coastal Bend College (CBC) Alice Site’s Undergraduate Program Showcase. This event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
Those in attendance will be able to enjoy free activities and entertainment for all ages. Photos captured at the event will be uploaded online via Facebook and can be viewed after the event by visiting www.facebook.com/coastalbendcollege.
Individuals who are interested in attending CBC Alice will have the opportunity to speak with program representatives about the various certificates and degrees that are offered. They will also have the opportunity to visit the facilities that are available to no cost to all students at the CBC Alice Site such as the newly remodeled science labs and the Student Success Center (SSC).
Project OASIS, which is a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) grant focusing on increasing the number of Hispanics and low income students obtaining degrees in STEM fields funded the new science labs. The state-of-the-art science labs will be open for viewing from 4:30 until 6 p.m. at the showcase.
At the SSC, current and prospective CBC Alice students have access to services such as academic advising, special needs services, student success workshops, tutoring, computer labs, career services and the technology loan program.
