Beeville, TX— Follow the yellow brick road to the A. C. Jones High School Auditorium on Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. The Coastal Bend College Foundation will present a one-time performance of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a production by the prestigious Corpus Christi Ballet. The Joe Barnhart Foundation has graciously underwritten the performance, which is part of the CBC Foundation’s 50 for 50 campaign to raise funds in honor of CBC’s 50th anniversary this year.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will be brought to life through Julie Urbis Green’s choreography, exquisite costumes and scenery and an awe-inspiring cast of more than 60 professional ballet dancers.
A cowardly lion that desperately seeks courage, the tin woodman that has no heart, a brainless scarecrow and the girl who desperately seeks to return to Kansas come together on their journey to the Emerald City to provide the audience with a magical evening sure to delight children and adults alike.
General admission tickets are available for purchase at $10 each for both children and adults.
Tickets for the performance may be purchased at the CBC Business Office (located inside of the Beasley Administration Building on the CBC Beeville campus), at any Pantry location in Beeville, and online via Eventbrite by clicking here. Online tickets will have a $1.54 convenience fee added per ticket for credit card processing.
Sponsorship packages as low as $125 are available to local businesses and organizations that wish to support the performing arts in Bee County. For more information, please contact the CBC Foundation via phone at (361) 354-2348 or via email at foundation@coastalbend.edu.
