Coastal Bend College (CBC) is pleased to announce the addition of Sera F. Quiroga to its Office of Marketing & Public Relations. As the Communications Staff Writer, Quiroga will have the privilege of spreading the word about the many positive things happening at the College’s four locations.

SeraQuirogaQuiroga is a native of Beeville who graduated with honors from A. C. Jones High School in 2010. After graduation she continued her education at CBC, competed in intercollegiate athletics and obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in 2011.

She transferred to Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) in San Antonio to further her education. While at OLLU she continued her softball career for one year then opted to give up athletics and focus solely on her education. Quiroga received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Public Relations in 2014.

Quiroga brings two years of public relations and communications writing experience to CBC. She interned and was mentored by the OLLU Sports Information Director Patty Constantin, in addition to serving as an intern for the San Antonio Talons, an Arena Football League team, during their 2014 season.

“I consider myself one of the lucky ones who’s had professors, employers, co-workers, friends and family who genuinely believed in me when it comes to my education. My support system is one of the many reasons why I came back to Beeville. I am grateful to be able to come back to my hometown and work for a college that provides so many educational and career opportunities for its students.”

Quiroga can be contacted via email at squiroga@coastalbend.edu or via telephone at (361) 354-2259.
