BEEVILLE– Coastal Bend College will host a free community seminar about the Ebola virus on Thursday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. inside the Gertrude R. Jones Auditorium on the Beeville campus located on 3800 Charco Road. The seminar will be led by Dr. Miguel Sierra-Hoffman, a board certified infectious disease specialist and pulmonologist.
Sierra-Hoffman has over 12 years of experience in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He’s recently conducted Ebola virus information sessions at the Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX. In 2006, Sierra-Hoffman opened his own private consultant practice, which provides services to medical offices in both Beeville and Victoria. He also serves as director of infectious diseases at Post Acute Medical in Victoria where he’s worked since 2007.
The purpose of the free seminar is to provide Beeville and the surrounding communities with an opportunity to obtain a better understanding about the Ebola virus.
