We’re halfway through our CBC Street Team member introductions, and today you get to meet Miranda! Hailing from San Antonio, TX, she’s quickly acclimated herself to CBC and Beeville. Miranda loves photography, supporting fellow student groups and organizations, and like Jasmine, she’s a tutor as well. We’re always thrilled to have such awesome students like Miranda at our college.
Hi, I’m Miranda! I’m currently a sophomore and science major at Coastal Bend College in Beeville. Born and raised in San Antonio, I chose to attend CBC simply for the amazing instructors and great education. Although I love the school environment of this campus, I am also trying to become a known face of this school. I am also proud to be an official CBC Ambassador, part of the STEM club, a well-known algebra tutor, part of the supplemental instruction program in the Science Learning Commons, and now part of the CBC Street Team.
Most people ask me what brings me to the city of Beeville. I first came here to play softball, but then I decided that I wanted to focus more on school because I am determined to get into the medical field as a Pharmacist. I could have went back to San Antonio and been just another seat in an auditorium, but I wanted to be involved, and the education here at CBC is fantastic.
At CBC, I don’t feel like I’m just going through the motions of school, but I’m actually learning the material and remembering it outside of school. Not only is the course material really in-depth, immersive, and thorough, but the instructors make it very easy to pay attention. Anatomy and Physiology is one of the classes that I have been putting all of my time into this semester. Ms. Gifford, my teacher makes it really easy to learn the material in this class, and she’s super awesome and nice.
What I look forward to the most about being a part of the CBC Street Team is to brush up on my journalism skills and letting more people know about the events and people that make CBC awesome. I’m excited to be working with such great people.
