CBC radiology student wins social media contest sponsored by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists

Adam Mercer, a second year student in the Coastal Bend College (CBC) Radiologic Technology Program is one of the three grand prize winners of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Strike a Pose Contest”. The contest was held in honor of the upcoming National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW) which is celebrated from November 2 through November 8. The 2014 NRTW theme is “Many Views with One Vision”.

Mercer’s “Wheel of Fortune” inspired Instagram entry won him top honors in the “Best Represents NRTW Theme”, and he’ll be receiving a gift package, American Express gift card, and one year membership to the ASRT. His winning entry, along with the other category winners, will be featured in the October/November issue of ASRT Scanner, which is a bi-monthly radiologic industry publication.
