Coastal Bend College (CBC) invites prospective and new students to attend a free Cougar Days event at any CBC location. The 2014 dates are: Alice, July 22; Pleasanton, July 24; Kingsville, July 29; and Beeville, July 31.

Cougar Days is a free, half-day orientation event where students learn about the student success services available to them at, meet the president, faculty, and staff, and participate in fun games and activities designed to help ease their transition into college life. Also, students can meet with a student development advisor to register for fall classes and learn more about our academic and workforce programs. Attending Cougar Days satisfies the College’s mandatory student orientation requirement, and all student attendees receive free lunch and a CBC t-shirt.

Parents are also welcome to attend Cougar Days with their student. CBC faculty, financial aid advisors, student development specialists, and business office staff will be available to talk with parents and answer any questions. Students are free to attend whichever Cougar Days location is most convenient regardless of where the student will attend classes in the fall. To be eligible to register for fall 2014 classes on Cougar Days, students must bring proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination if under 21, social security number, placement test scores or evidence of exemptions, and official transcripts from any high school or college attended.

Cougar Days begin with registration at 8 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. If a student cannot attend a Cougar Days orientation, they should visit the Student Development Office at any CBC site or call:
