Athletes selected for Region XIV South Zone All-Conference Teams

Coastal Bend College is proud to have two athletes from the 2012-2013 CBC Men’s Basketball Team named to the NJCAA Region XIV South Zone All-Conference Teams.

Team Captain LaDarrien Williams, a sophomore majoring in kinesiology at CBC, was selected for the Region XIV South Zone All-Conference 2^nd Team. Williams averaged 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, and he was 40 percent from the 3-point line. Williams scored a season high of 22 points against Lamar State College on February 16, 2013. He is the son of Patricia Wright and John Williams, and is from Austin, Texas.

Brandon Golden, a sophomore majoring in business at CBC, was selected for the Region XIV South Zone All-Conference 3^rd Team. Golden averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, and he was 35 percent and 85 percent from the 3-point and free throw lines, respectively. Golden scored a season high 30 points in the regional tournament against Tyler Community College, and was also named player of the week in Region XIV for the week of November 26, 2012. He is the son of Nugent and Cecilia Golden, and is from Austin, Texas.
