The Coastal Bend College Radiologic Technology program, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), is a two-year program designed to prepare students for exciting careers as health care professionals.

Students who complete the program earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree. They gain experience and knowledge through a combination of classroom, laboratory and clinical hands-on experience. Clinical sites will include surrounding community hospitals.

Upon completion of the program, students will have developed skills as entry level radiographic technologists.  Graduates will then be able to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) exam.  Successful completion of the ARRT exam will allow students to apply for Texas Department of Health licensing as required by the State of Texas for employment.

A bacterial meningitis vaccination is required for all incoming students with the last shot being administered no less than ten days prior to the start of classes.

Attendance at any of the four information sessions is worth two points on the application. Students accepted to Coastal Bend College, must also apply to the radiologic technology program to be considered for the program.
