Coastal Bend College — Kingsville Campus recently hosted the workshop “How Many Squares Do You See?” by Eddie Rojas, a CBC counselor. CBC Student Services provided pizza and soft drinks to 58 students who took part in the presentation.

“I loved the presentation. It was very interesting and interactive, said Alicia Lopes, a student. “I learned how to manage my time more effectively.” Rojas addressed the issue of time management – something that many students struggle with. He provided resources for students to use to manage their lives and improve their academic success.
“Time management is a great asset. Time balances your future,” said Hermelinda Miles, a CBC Kingsville student. Catherine Garcia and Tristan Trevino, students, both commented on how the advice given by Rojas related to their daily lives. They were happy to have attended.
Sandra Munoz, a student said of the workshop, “It taught me how to utilize the hours in my day to the fullest.” Overall, she felt the presentation was a huge success.
The Kingsville Campus will continue to provide opportunities for student learning enrichment. Rojas and other CBC counselors and advisors present workshops throughout the semester that address student issues like study skills, financial aid and self assessment. Upcoming workshops include the following:
Career Planning Workshop – March 20 at 11 a.m.
How Am I Doing Mid-Semester Workshop – March 22 at 11 a.m.
