Coastal Bend College Introduces Online Course: Introduction to Microsoft Access 2010

Coastal Bend College has a program that makes it easy to take high-quality, noncredit online courses. Coastal Bend College has partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-led courses and is pleased to announce the launch of “Introduction to Microsoft Access 2010.”

Participants in this practical, project-oriented course will learn to build and customize tables in Access and discover how to use forms to simplify data entry, create reports, and design queries.


This course is part of Coastal Bend College’s growing catalog of more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses. Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction, and interaction with fellow students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. They have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the classroom 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection.

New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly (for a total of 12). The courses are entirely Web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.

Introduction to Microsoft Word 2010

Learn how to create and modify documents in Word 2010, the world’s most popular word processing program. With the help of step-by-step instructions and hands-on activities, you’ll quickly master every basic feature of Word and be able to use this program confidently at home or on the job.

 

Interpersonal Communication

This course explores strategies for success in everyday interpersonal communication. You’ll explore clear examples of verbal and nonverbal habits, effective listening, self-concept, differences in cultural and gender conversation styles, and conflict management. You’ll also gain practical strategies you can use today to improve communication at home, in social situations, and in the workplace.
