Coastal Bend College Continuing Education will offer Petroleum Fundamentals: Oilfield Terminology and Process in two-day, four-hour segments on Monday, Aug. 29 and Tuesday, Aug. 30, 1-5 p.m. The course will be taught in two four-hour segments. [.8 CEUs]
This fundamental course will provide useful information about terminology and processes for those desiring to know more about the oil and gas industry. This course is a perfect fit for assistants, engineering/geological technicians, landmen, accountants, public relations specialists, landowners and spouses of oilfield employees wanting a better understanding of the oilfield.
Participants who may be considering a career in the petroleum industry; are engaged in occupations that are related to or dependent on the petroleum industry; or are curious about oil and gas, will find this course especially useful. The course will offer familiarity with oilfield terminology and drilling processing of a hypothetical well.
