Coastal Bend College students in the oil and gas technology program recently visited the local Weatherford International Field Yard. The group, led by oil and gas instructor Roy Coley, was given a rare tour of the restricted facilities and equipment by Weatherford representative Blake Snow.
The students inspected a variety of pumping units including a hydraulic pumping unit, truck mounted pumping unit and a beam pumping unit. Snow gave students an overview of the operations and specifications of each unit. He told the students that they were “entering an excellent career field.”
Coastal Bend College offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Oil and Gas Technology, as well as a certificate. For more information, contact Roy Coley at (361)2551 or email@example.com.
