Live feed to show Coastal Bend College bid for regionals

 Coastal Bend College Men’s Basketball team will play Angelina College on Tuesday night (March 1) at 7:30 p.m. in a do-or-die run at a spot in the NJCAA Region XIV tournament.

 The game will take place at Shands Gymasium in Lufkin. Angelina College will provide a live video stream of the Cougars/Roadrunners matchup on their website at http://www.angelina.edu/athletics/streaming_athletics2.html. The

  game can also be accessed by logging on to http://www.angelina.edu and clicking on the “Athletics” link.

 This is the first face-off between the two teams this season. Both colleges compete in National Junior College Athletic Association Region 14. San Jacinto College (#1); Trinity Valley Community College (#2), Jacksonville College (#3), Navarro College (#4), Paris Junior College (#5), Lon Morris College (#6), Lamar State College – Port Arthur (#7), Tyler Junior College (#8), Blinn College (#9). Kilgore College (#10) and Panola College (#11) are already seeded for the tournament to be held March 3-7 at the University of Texas at Tyler in the Herrington Patriot Center. 

 This one game will determine whether Coastal Bend College or Angelina College advances to regionals in the 12^th position. The winner faces Paris Junior College in Game 2 this Thursday at 3 p.m.

 Larry Mendez is head coach for CBC men’s basketball. Assistant coaches are Chad Kline and Tony Martinez. J. Estevan Vasquez is CBC Athletic Coordinator. Velma Elizalde is CBC Dean of Student Services and Dr. Thomas Baynum is CBC President.
