Ed2go courses in basic English

Coastal Bend College Continuing Education has partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-facilitated, non-credit courses and is pleased to announce the launch of “Easy English 1” and “Easy English 2.”

Participants in Easy English 1 will learn the basic English skills they need for real-life activities including shopping, job-hunting, and handling medical emergencies. Interactive games, videos, and audio conversations will help beginners master grammar and vocabulary skills step-by-step.

In Easy English 2, students will build on their knowledge as they master intermediate English skills. They will learn a wide range of English words and phrases they can use at school, at work, and in the community.

These courses are part of CBC’s growing catalog of more than 300 non-credit courses. Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow online students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. They have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the classroom 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection.

New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly (for a total of 12). The courses are entirely Web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
