The Mark Monaco Band will perform at the Coastal Bend College – Pleasanton Campus End of Year Bash on May 12, 6-8 p.m. CBC Pleasanton will mark the end of the academic year with an evening celebration. There will be bouncy houses for kids, club booths, activities, food, drinks and live entertainment. The community event, including the concert, is free.

Mark Monaco has been honing his craft for most of his life. He attended Nashville’s renowned Music Business School at Belmont University and interned at MCA Records on Music Row at age 19. He earned a Business Marketing Degree from Texas Tech University in 2001 and released his first album, the critically-acclaimed American Highway, shortly thereafter.

Monaco, who does all the writing and producing on his albums, tours Texas and throughout the South building a loyal following and radio support. His debut album and its follow-up, Alternate Frequency, land him repeatedly on the Texas Music and Music Review charts.

“I feel like everything is finally clicking,” he said. “My writing is better, the band I have behind me is the best, and people that overlooked us in the past are starting to take notice. I’m ready for the next stage.”

With the release of his new album, Overdrive, and its first single and video Wild in Texas, Monaco is poised to step up his game. For more information about The Mark Monaco Band, got to www.markmonaco.com or www.myspace.com/markmonaco.
