The Madrigal Dinner draws its influence from the Middle Ages with a focus on choral music.  The meal is divided into courses, each of which is heralded with a traditional song. A play is performed between the courses and a concert of choral music concludes the festivities. Renaissance costumes are encouraged but not required.

The stage director for the Madrigal play, entitled A Fool For Love, is MaryMadrigal Feast at Coastal Bend College Joy. Musical director is Dr. James Lee. Members of the cast are: Towncrier – Jose Arredondo; Page – Cheryl Clarke; Jester – Thomas Brewer; Lord Boris – Matthew Wagner; Lady Abigail – Stacy Stevenson; King – Philip Brewer; Queen – Sally Friedlander; and Jestress – Donna Davis. Courtiers are Rose Stafford, Cindy Hilliard, Rose Skaife and Kris Montoya.  Roy Bryan will be the juggler. Benjamin and Leah Brewer will be beggars.
